Poetry

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” – Rumi

I am a Melbourne-based poet, who has lived in Tasmania, New Zealand and Central America. My poetry mainly takes inspiration from close observation of the natural world.

It has won the American Association of Australasian Literary Studies (AAALS) award and the Nillumbik Poetry prize (open). I have also been shortlisted for the Bridport, Gwen Harwood, Australian Catholic University (x2), and Fish (x4, judge Billy Collins) Poetry Prizes, and was recently longlisted for the Liquid Amber prize.

My poems have been included in Antipodes, Westerly, The Marrow, Rabbit, Cordite, Island, The Australian (forthcoming), Eureka Street, and a Hunter Valley Writers’ Centre anthology.
