“Let the beauty you love be what you do.” – Rumi
I am a Melbourne-based poet, who has lived in Tasmania, New Zealand and Central America. My poetry mainly takes inspiration from close observation of the natural world.
My poetry has won the American Association of Australasian Literary Studies (AAALS) award and the Nillumbik Poetry prize (open). I have also been shortlisted for the Bridport, Gwen Harwood, Australian Catholic University (twice), Fish (4 poems, Billy Collins judge) and Hammond House Poetry Prizes.
My poems have been included in Antipodes, Westerly, Rabbit, Cordite, Island (forthcoming), Eureka Street, and a Hunter Valley Writers’ Centre anthology.
